I aim to design systems and products that can be used by those with the shortest attention spans and poorest working memories.
I advocate for investing time and effort in discovery and working hard to understand problems. This makes it easier to for me to create simple, elegant and feasible solutions that last the test of time.
However, achieving confidence in design decisions isn't always possible in the messy real world. For those times, I rely on being clear on the principles and best practices I am to follow, and making sure everyone's on board.
As a product person
In order for us to build things others want to use, I always emphasise collaboration, humility, and first principle thinking. I love working with people who ask stupid questions. No faking it until you are making it. We are all learning, let's own it!
UX can be the difference between users loving your product and hating it.
Good UX makes products easy to use, intuitive, and enjoyable. This leads to increased customer satisfaction, sales, and brand reputation.
By creating products with a great UX, businesses can attract and retain customers, increase sales, and improve their bottom line.
Product design is the process of creating products that meet the needs of users and solve their problems (hopefully with a sleek interface). It is a creative and iterative process that involves research, ideation, prototyping, and testing.
User research is the process of understanding users and their needs. It is essential for creating products and services that are user-friendly and effective. Investing in research is the foundation of good design.
